Q&A

Why meet on Friday nights? – Being in the South, two things you can almost count on: 1.) There’s a church on every corner, almost quite literally. 2.) Southern culture has created a tradition of going to church on Sundays. Therefore, with our heart to do everything possible to work with and be a part of the Body of Greenville, we did not want to interfere with what was already established. Our desire is to create an atmosphere to encounter God in a real, tangible way, and we wanted to make it available to EVERYONE. Thus, if someone feels called to a specific church but also feels hindered in their worship (lets be honest, it happens), then we wanted to create the opportunity for them to worship both places. We also LOVE what God’s doing in this city and wanted, for ourselves, the opportunity to be a part of as much as possible. So, unless God says otherwise, we will always have our services on Friday nights.

Does Greenville really need another church and How is Kingdom Culture different? - When God called us to plant Kingdom Culture my initial thought was “God, does Greenville REALLY need another church?”. The answer to that is “No,” but what Greenville does need are people who are obsessed with His presence, madly in love with each other, and passionate enough to live like Jesus. So our goal is to create an atmosphere and to equip a people who are DAILY obsessed with the presence of God and who love boldly enough to change the atmosphere around them. Our gatherings and ministry will hang on the questions, “God, what do you want to do and how can we partner with you?” Our worship times will be focused on creating an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to change lives, and for us to truly encounter God in a very real, very tangible way.

Does Kingdom Culture have small groups, discipleship classes, or Bible studies? - We have a great desire to equip people to live the way Jesus exemplified and intended for us to live. Also, we have friends who are amazing at teaching the Kingdom of God. We feel that more in depth teachings of the revelation that God is giving us in the form of small groups and classes are in our future. So we’re staying in prayer and abandoned to the voice of God. For now, if the need arises before a group or class is established, we will partner with other ministries who already have groups that are growing and producing earth shaking believers.
